I really love all of the designs that this store has. The booties were certainly very pretty. I would classify myself generally as an 'intermediate' knitter and I had to concentrate a bit to knit these booties. I wouldn't recommend them if you are a beginner. For the instep area, you would need to have had some experience with German short rows I think to make it a success. I found the way in which the instructions were written different to what I have come across in many patterns. This is mainly because there was an expectation of keeping a chart pattern in mind while doing the short rows on the instep. I would have found it easier to navigate if the chart pattern was incorporated into the instep shaping instructions so that I was not trying to refer to two places at once. Perhaps a more experienced knitter could do this.
